Innovation advisory.

Innovation strategy, deep-tech sourcing and corporate-venture frameworks for institutions building what's next.

Innovation that compounds doesn't happen by accident. It is the product of explicit choices — where to play, how to source, how to fund, how to govern. We help leadership teams set the strategy, build the operating model and the disciplines that allow innovation to translate into measurable business outcomes.

Our work spans innovation strategy and portfolio design, deep-tech and venture sourcing, R&D roadmap reviews, corporate-venture framework design, and operating-model decisions about where innovation should sit, who owns it, and how it gets resourced over the long horizon.

Where we focus

01

Innovation strategy

Setting the thesis: where to play, what to prioritise, and how to allocate capital and talent across horizons.

02

Deep-tech sourcing

Identifying, evaluating and engaging with frontier science and technology — academic, start-up and partnership channels.

03

Corporate venture

Designing corporate-venture frameworks, investment theses, governance and exit pathways that align with the parent strategy.

04

R&D portfolio

Reviewing R&D allocation, stage-gate discipline and operating model — focusing resources on the projects that compound.

Methodologies

Six methodologies. Selected and combined to the question.

We don't apply methodologies for their own sake. We combine the right disciplines around each engagement — sometimes a fast Sprint to unblock a decision, sometimes a multi-month Design Thinking programme to reframe a product line. The output is always the same: clarity, conviction, and a runway to execute.

01

Design Thinking

Human-centred problem framing, divergent ideation and prototype-based learning — IDEO/Stanford d.school discipline applied to executive decisions and product rethinks.

02

Design Sprint

Five-day Google Ventures format to take an idea from question to validated prototype with users. Used to compress months of debate into one decisive week.

03

Lean Startup

Build–Measure–Learn loops, MVP discipline and validated learning for new propositions, ventures and pivots — minimising waste before scale-up.

04

Jobs-to-be-Done

Outcome-driven innovation: defining the underlying job customers are hiring a product to do, and the metrics by which they judge success.

05

Open Innovation

Structured sourcing of external science, start-up partnerships and ecosystem deals to access capabilities that would otherwise take years to build internally.

06

Stage-gate & Agile

Stage-gate discipline for R&D portfolios combined with Agile execution for digital products — capital allocation rigour without slowing delivery.
